Holgate - Dublin to Galway N6 Finally Complete

The final stretch of motorway finally opened in time for the Christmas break for motorists travelling between Dublin and Galway.

Holgate has been engaged with the N6 from the start, with installations on all contract phases over the past 5 years. In total, Holgate has installed 40km of wire rope, 166km of steel safety barrier and 45,000 sq/m of noise barrier on the route.

The travel time from Lucan to Oranmore in Galway is an easy going 2 hours which is a major improvement. This is the first inter-urban route to be completed and all other major inter-urban routes are on schedule for completion by the summer.
