Top Gear Live in Dublin - EventServ

The Top Gear Live 2009/2010 world tour is well and truly underway and has thrilled audiences in London and Birmingham, and now Dublin, with an all-new show, which features more cars, more stunts and – crucially – more fire!

It was a thrilling, ‘edge-of-your-seat’ experience for motor enthusiasts and Irish fans of the popular show when Top Gear Live, sponsored by Brown Thomas, came to the RDS earlier this month. EventServ were contracted to supply and install 25 tons of extra ballast and counter weight to support the world’s first indoor loopthe- loop along with access ramps/handrails, crowd control barriers and temporary fencing for site demarcation. The performance arena required an additional 280m of special crash barrier to protect the arena and public which EventServ also installed.

Over 350,000 fans will get to see the all-new 2009/2010 world show and it is taking one 747 cargo plane, three ships and 135 trucks to haul all the kit needed around the world. (No wonder, when that kit includes almost 100 cars, 600 sets of tyres and enough petrol to fuel a small country!)
